Coping with the suicide or traumatic death of a loved one is incredibly hard. For children, it can be an especially difficult. New Life Counselling uses Sport Relief cash to support children, aged between five and 17, through the grieving process and is just one of over 20 projects we’re proud to fund in Belfast.
The Cardiff Games
How we help in Cardiff
People with learning disabilities can often find themselves excluded from accessing services, such as healthcare and education. Cardiff People First uses Sport Relief cash give people with learning disabilities an effective, collective voice in the community and is just one of a number of projects we’re proud to fund in Cardiff.
The Glasgow Games
How we help in Glasgow
Many young lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people drop out of sport because of bullying and negative attitudes to gender. Funded with Sport Relief cash, LEAP Sports Scotland uses sport to help young LGBT people develop life skills and confidence and is just one of a number of projects we’re proud to fund in Glasgow.
The London Games
How we help in London
Many young people who grow up in care don’t have the skills to live independently when they leave the care system. Within two years, a third of them will experience homelessness. Coram Voiceuses Sport Relief cash to help them find accommodation and access the support services they need and is one of over 70 projects we’re proud to fund in London.
The Norwich Games
How we help in East Anglia
Funded with money raised through Sport Relief, The Jigsaw Project helps young people, aged 16-24, with learning disabilities to learn a valuable range of life-skills, enhancing their confidence and independence. It’s one of over 50 projects we’re proud to fund throughout East Anglia.
The Sheffield Games
How we help in Sheffield
Many young people can end up on the streets through no fault of their own. Some leave home to escape abuse, others because of a family breakdown. Roundabout Limited uses Sport Relief cash to offer shelter and support to young homeless people and is one of a number of projects we’re proud to fund in Sheffield.
