The Olympic sized day out for everyone!

16th March 2014

On Sunday 23rd March the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will be awash with red and white activity as the BIGGEST day of Sport Relief fun comes to the iconic grounds.

From 9.30am to 4.30pm there will be a non-stop itinerary of ‘Have-a-go’ sporting installations.

  • Why not try the British Amateur Gymnastics Association’s GymChallenge?
  • Learn sitting volleyball with Volleyball England and take part in mini matches
  • Have a go at hockey under the guidance of the England Hockey Association
  • Anyone for tennis? Practice your serve with The Lawn Tennis Association and pit your skills against the serve speedometer
  • Join the London Wasps for grassroots level rugby skills and drills
  • Be put through your paces by West Ham Football Club and meet Bubbles the mascot!

If that’s not enough, Highline Adventure are offering the opportunity for guests to bring out their inner Robin Hood and have a go at archery. There’s a climbing wall, Dutch skipping classes, 3 on 3 basketball sessions, interactive cricket coaching and BT’s Sport Relief Goal Challenge, 2014.

Get on board with a Sport Relief boarding card at BA’s aviation-themed installation, take part in Cravendale’s Marvellous Milkshake Race or join-in the family fun at Robert Dyas and Ryman’s Giant Jenga and Connect 4 site.

With such a memorable day planned there’s photo opportunities scattered around the park. Become part of the photo in a life-sized Olympic-themed frame, or cuddle-up to a celebrity replica. The Sun will be introducing a very special branded photo booth for guests to take pictures of their day.

There will also be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get up close and personal with memorabilia from both the 2012 Olympic Games (including the Olympic Torch) and previous Sport Relief fundraising challenges.

Throughout the day Sainsbury’s will be on hand to make sure visitors have a chance to buy this year’s must-have Sport Relief goodies as well as providing a temporary kitchen with cooking demonstrations and product testing for all to try.

There really is something for everyone with CBeebies Timmy Time joining the sporting line-up, giving young children the chance to take part in a throwing competition and a special sporting “Wooly Warm Up”.

Whether you want to take part, have a go, or watch your family joining in, make sure you come on down to the Park!
