The Sport Relief Total Ticket Competition Terms and ConditionsThe Sport Relief Total Ticket Competition Terms and Conditions

1. The competition will run between 00:01 on 13th February 2010 and 23:59 on 1st March 2010.

2. Entrants should be aware that the competition will be promoted on both BBC 1 and BBC Radio 2.

3. The competition consists of a question and four possible answers that the contestants can choose from. The question and possible answers will be read out on air during each promotion.

4. The competition is open to all residents of the UK aged 18 or over, excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, BBC or Comic Relief/Sport Relief employees, anyone connected with the competition and their close relatives. Proof of age, identity and eligibility may be requested.

5. The winner and their guest will have no criminal convictions of any kind whatsoever that might preclude them from attending any sporting event and shall notify the BBC immediately if there are any criminal charges brought against them up to the date of their entry.

6. Entry to the competition is only by texting to the shortcode 70888. Text messages cost £1 plus your standard network message charge (based on your service provider rates). Your text message entry will result in a 85p donation to Sport Relief for each text message entry.

7. To enter the competition, you will need to text the keyword TICKET, followed by the option (a, b, c or d) for the answer you select, followed by your name (so we know who to call, should you win). Please make sure you key-in the short code and spell the keyword and the letter for your selected answer correctly.

8. If your keyword and short code are valid, and your text message is received within the specified times and dates, you will be charged £1 via a bounce-back message. With the exception of Vodafone customers who will be charged directly via their bill. It may take some time for you to receive the bounce-back message. Please wait until you receive it.

9. If your keyword or short code are invalid, or your text message is received outside the specified times and dates, you may not receive a bounce-back but may still be charged your standard network message charge. You will not be charged the £1 entry fee and you will not be donating to Sport Relief.

10. The winner will be the first eligible and correct entry, randomly selected, who is available by phone on the 3rd or 4th of March 2010. If we are unable to contact the winner (on the mobile number the winning entry was made from) after reasonable attempts have been made, the BBC reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner up.

11. The prize consists of: (i) 2 tickets to the 2010 Football World Cup Final in South Africa, including travel (to and from the United Kingdom) and accommodation; (ii) 2 tickets to the 2010 men's singles final at Wimbledon and (iii) a VIP experience at the 2010 Strictly Come Dancing Final. Comic Relief wishes to thank the Strictly Come Dancing Team, the Lawn Tennis Association and FIFA, and their official partner VISA, for making this prize possible.

12. The number of nights for accommodation in South Africa and any restrictions on dates of outward and return journey shall be at the BBC’s absolute discretion. The winner must notify the BBC of their ability to travel outside the UK by 9th March as well as the names of his/her companion. Failure to comply with this means that the winner will lose the opportunity to attend the World Cup final. The winner will be responsible for ensuring they (and their companion) have the necessary and sufficient travel and personal insurance and a valid passport or visa, where necessary, as the BBC and Comic Relief will not accept liability for any accidents/damages/losses whilst travelling to or from the event or whilst at the event.

13. Apart from the return flight to South Africa and local transportation in South Africa to and from the airport and to and from the game, no other costs, such as any required visas and meals, are included.

14. The prize is as stated. There is no cash alternative and the prize cannot be sold or transferred in any circumstances. The winner may appoint a close relative or friend to use one or some of the tickets.

15. Contestants are responsible for ensuring that ticket holders are of the minimum age required to attend any of the events, or, where required their parent/guardian consent to attend or travel.

16. The BBC’s decision as to the winner is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.

17. Entrants must agree to take part in any post-competition publicity if required.

18. The BBC reserves the right to disqualify any entries that breach these rules or are in any way fraudulent or inaudible. The BBC also reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, or if circumstances arise outside its control. The maximum number of text message entries from the same mobile telephone number will be 50 throughout the promotion period.

19. The BBC, Sport Relief, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for: (i) any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any telephone network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any entry being lost or not properly registered or recorded and; (ii) cancellation of the events comprising the prize or any other changes made by the event organisers. The BBC will not be required to provide any further event tickets.
