The Liverpool Mile
Choose Liverpool to run (or walk!) your Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile and get ready for an amazing day out! We’re working our Sport Relief Socks off to lay on a fun-filled day of entertainment and sporty activities for you, including dragon boat racing on the dock and a wide range of sports to try your hand at from the world of athletics, rugby and football, to name but a few. As well as all that, there’ll be live performances from local musicians and a rousing warm-up session for your Mile that’s sure to get you off to a flying start. Keep your eyes peeled for celebrity spotting and if you want the BBC film crew to get you on camera, make sure you dress up and stand out from the crowd!

Tons of sporting activities will keep you busy throughout the day, with live demonstrations as well as the chance to try out some new sports for yourself. As if that wasn’t enough, the line-up of musicians around the dock will make sure you have a day out to remember. In all the excitement, don’t forget to complete your Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile! The range of entertainment provided may be subject to change.

Get there by bus: Paradise St bus station is a 5 minute walk from the Riverfront. Local bus, rail and ferry timetables are available by logging on to www.merseytravel.gov.uk
Get there by car: From the North - take the M6 to junction 26 and follow signs for the M58 Liverpool. Follow to the end of the M58 and then follow signs for the A59 Liverpool. Continue to follow A59 City Centre signs until picking up signs for the Albert Dock. This will take you right off the A59 onto the A5053 heading for the Albert Dock. The nearest car park to ACC Liverpool is on site: turn off at Queens Wharf where you will find a 1,600 space multi-storey car park. From the South - take the M6 to junction 21A, take M62 to Liverpool, follow signs for the City Centre until picking up signs for the Albert Dock. This will take you via the A59 onto the A5053 heading for the Albert Dock. The nearest car park to ACC Liverpool is on site: turn off at Queens Wharf where you will find a 1,600 space multi-storey car park.
Get there by foot: From the City Centre, make your way to Liverpool waterfront following signs for Albert Dock.
