So here are the all-time favourite fundraising ideas, especially for early years, as revealed by so many of you. Enjoy!
Selling treats, goodies and all sorts of stuff is an easy way to raise money for Sport Relief.
-
Sport Relief Sweatbands
Buying Sport Relief Sweatbands to sell in your group is an easy way to kick-start your fundraising. And we’ve got an exclusive scheme to help you do just that!
-
Healthy Bake Sale
Make and sell healthy treats and refreshments to fill active little tummies. It’ll keep their energy levels up while they jump around for Sport Relief!
-
Face-Painting
Create tiny tigers or miniature monkeys out of your little ones by selling your face-painting skills. Then they can get active for Sport Relief whilst looking the part.
-
Dance Show
Put on a mini dance show so your children can show off their boogie skills - then sell tickets to parents so they can come and watch!
-
It's Party Time
Get your children active with a Sport Relief party where everyone buys a ticket to come along and play fun games like musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey and Simon says.
By bringing in some coins from home, your group can pay to join in with fun Sport Relief activities.
-
Activity Day
Set up lots of different activities, like obstacle courses and egg-and-spoon races, that your children can pay to take part in. They can dress up to and have a sports day party!
-
Mini Disco
Stick on your kids’ favourite songs and hold a mini disco where they give a donation to get dancing. Musical chairs anyone?
-
Dress-Up Day
Ask for a donation from your nippers to come in dressed all in red or as their favourite character. We've even got some fun Waybuloo masks your little ones can make to get you started.
-
Red Fruit And Veg Challenge
From cherries and peppers to beetroot and strawberries, display a range of red fruits and vegetables and see how many your children can name. Each child makes a donation to have a go!
-
Tiny Treasure Hunt
Let your children hunt for treats and prizes that you’ve hidden around the nursery. Ask each child for a donation to play and tell your tiny scavengers when they’re ‘hot’ or ‘cold’.
-
Soggy Sponge Slinging
Find a member of staff who’s game for a soaking and ask your children for a donation to throw a wet sponge at them. Simple, soggy Sport Relief fun.
Get your little ones to collect spare change – it all adds up to make a massive difference.
-
Mini Money Boxes
Get each child to make and decorate their own collection box which they take home to collect spare coins. Download our template to get started.
-
Reception Collection
Make and decorate a collection box and put it on reception for visitors and parents to fill with loose change.
-

Get staff at your group to take turns at an hour’s sponsored silence. It will give the children a giggle as they guess your mimes, you can collect donations from parents and visitors for your challenge and whoever speaks during their hour pays a donation as a forfeit!
-
How Many Miles?
The perfect way for your kids to raise cash is by getting sponsored to do the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in your school. Tell us how many pupils are taking part in your Mile when you order your Schools Fundraising Resource Pack and we’ll include an exclusive Miler reward for every pupil.
-
Learn A Skill
From learning to juggle to riding a bike, children love a challenge and learning a new skill is the perfect thing they can get sponsored to do. Then, they can all show off their new-found skills on the day of Sport Relief itself!
-
Jilt The Junk
Get your pupils to prove they can give up junk food for a week. Whether it’s crisps, sweets or fizzy drinks, it’s an easy (not to mention healthy!) thing for them to get sponsored to do.
