Fun and Sporty Fundraising In Schools!
We’ve rounded up a super selection of some of the very best fundraising ideas that are perfect for schools like yours.
Simply organise a fun activity and then ask everyone to pay a donation to Sport Relief when they take part.
-
Do The Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile In School
Do an extra-fun Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile with each pupil paying a donation to hop it, skip it, run it, jump it or dress up to take part.
-
Do A Sports Day... With A Twist
Ask for a donation from everyone to take part in a Sport Relief games day with a difference. From fancy-dress egg-and-spoon races, to throwing wellies full of jelly – as long as it’s fun, it’s fair game!
-
Dress-Up Day
Have a looky-likey day where your pupils pay a fee to come to school dressed as their favourite sports star or Sport Relief celebrity – like Helen Skelton as an Antarctic explorer!
-
Tug Of War
Make up teams to pit against each other in a massive tug of war competition. Everyone pays a donation to enter and the winning team gets a prize!
-
Drench The Teacher
Put a member of staff in goal and hold a penalty shoot-out where the kids pay to see if they can get one (or more!) past the teacher. Give a prize to whoever scores the most goals!
-
Penalty Shoot-Out
If you, or another teacher, is up for getting a bit soggy for Sport Relief, simply get some wet sponges and charge pupils per throw. A great way to hit your fundraising target… and you can always hope the pupils will miss theirs!
With sponsorship forms in-hand, your children can raise cash by taking on whatever sporty, silly or serious challenge they like!
-
How Many Miles?
The perfect way for your kids to raise cash is by getting sponsored to do the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in your school. However you do it, it's great fun!
-
Learn A Skill
From learning to juggle to riding a bike, children love a challenge and learning a new skill is the perfect thing they can get sponsored to do. Then, they can all show off their new-found skills on the day of Sport Relief itself!
-
Jilt The Junk Food
Get your pupils to prove they can give up junk food for a week. Whether it’s crisps, sweets or fizzy drinks, it’s an easy (not to mention healthy!) thing for them to get sponsored to do.

-
Twelve-Hour Sports Match
Whether it’s football, netball, hockey or cricket, challenge your pupils to play a non-stop mega-match for 12 hours. Each child does their own shift and gets sponsored for their part in the epic challenge.
-
Hula-Hoop-A-Thon
Get your class to do a sponsored hula-hoop-a-thon, with each child doing a shift, and see how long you can keep it going!
An excellent and enterprising way to raise money for Sport Relief is by selling tickets, services and special Sport Relief goodies.

Order Sport Relief Sweatbands to sell in your school and kick-start your fundraising the easy way.
