More than one million men, women and children took part in the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile at the weekend, with a record number of people taking to the streets on Sunday at hundreds of Mile events across the length and breadth of the country. The Big Splash Mile for Sport Relief

Well, as wet weekends go, the Big Splash Mile for Sport Relief was fantastic fun. It was part of the Swimathon weekend, from 27th to 29th April, which is the UK’s biggest fundraising swimming event and saw over 25,000 people get involved in 645 pools across the country.

Magnificent Milers

Susan, friend Gayle and their little boys Ethan and David did the Mile in Edinburgh in 2010, raising an impressive £170 in the process.
That money could pay for 20 young carers to go to a weekly activity group to get support and a much-needed break from their responsibilities at home.
