25th Jan 2012

It’s back!  Let’s Dance for Sport Relief is all set to return to the BBC for a fourth spectacular series – and the first round of famous faces getting ready to shimmy their way onto the nation’s TV screens has been revealed today.

Among the celebrity toe-tappers will be British skier Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards, The Only Way Is Essex stars Amy Childs & Harry Derbridge, shooting Stars regulars Angelos Epithemiou & Ulrika Jonsson, comedians Ava Vidal and Terry Alderton, and comic performer and writer Arabella Weir.

Joining them will also be broadcasters Tony Blackburn & David Hamilton, radio 1 DJ Scott Mills & pop star Olly Murs, comedian Omid Djalili, comedy double act Watson & Oliver, stand-up comic Patrick Monahan and comedian, writer and presenter, Rowland Rivron.

The show-stopping series will commence on Saturday 18th February on BBC One and Alex Jones and Steve Jones will return to host the show and guide the viewers through the brilliant, and at times, hilarious, routines.

The series will see the stars of comedy, television, entertainment and sport slipping on their dancing shoes and throwing their moves live on stage to raise money for Sport Relief.

Due to popular demand, this year’s competition will be extended across five weeks, with four heats culminating in a spectacular final on Saturday 17th March.

Let's Dance for Sport Relief will see the acts (a mix of solo dancers, duos and groups) reenact their own unique version of some of the world's most iconic dance routines in front of a live studio audience. And each week the stars will battle it out to wow viewers and secure a much-coveted place in the grand final.

Who goes through and who gets a chance to compete in the final will be down to the public and the panel – made up of a variety of comedians who’ll give their own appraisal of each performance.

Plus the audience will also be treated to weekly music performances from the likes of JLS, Will Young, LMFAO, Tinchy Stryder and Pixie Lott.

The spectacular final will see eight celebrity acts dance with the hope of being crowned the Let's Dance For Sport Relief Champion.  Proceeds from the voting will go to Sport Relief.
