Stars Rise To The Challenge For Sport Relief
Stars Rise To The Challenge For Sport Relief
21st Feb 2012
Last autumn, much-loved comedian David Walliams completed the first of three BT Sport Relief challenges in spectacular style. Walliams Vs The Thames saw him take on the Thames (and win!) by swimming 140 miles of the sewage-filled river in eight days straight – and he captured the attention of the nation en route.
Next to join the ranks of celebrity challengers is fellow comedian, John Bishop. Not one to do things by halves, the second BT Sport Relief challenge will see him cycle, row and run his way from Paris to London in an almighty week from hell.
The third BT Sport Relief Challenge is yet to be revealed but it involves one dedicated celebrity taking on something quite extraordinary in a bid to raise much-needed Sport Relief cash. News of this exciting challenge will come very soon!
Also going the extra mile for Sport Relief 2012 was Blue Peter’s Helen Skelton who made her way to the South pole under her own steam by ski, kite-ski and, in a world first, by bike earlier this year.
And there are many more celebrities taking on incredible feats to raise cash – including comic, Frank Skinner who plans to overcome his genuine fear of swimming during the course of his challenge – and many, many more!
