Pioneering rugby star Gareth Thomas took on an epic 500 mile bike ride to deliver the Sports Personality of the Year trophy in time to be presented to this year’s winner. He was helped along the way by friends who cycled alongside him in a four-seater bike. All to raise money for Sport Relief and fight against the stigma surrounding some of the biggest issues in the world today.

DAY 4: (Thursday): Kendal – Gretna Green

With 100 international caps for Wales as well as captaining the British and Irish Lions, Gareth Thomas is rugby royalty. He also proudly advocates the end of stigma surrounding LGBTQ+ issues and HIV.
